An weekend of yoga
Explore flowing, dynamic sessions, yin and restorative practices and meditation, all woven around an overarching theme.
Arrival is from 4pm on Friday and the weekend formally starts with an evening yoga session followed by dinner. We will close with afternoon tea on Sunday.
Yoga
We’ll enjoy a dynamic vinyasa flow yoga session every day with modifications throughout for different levels. There will be time to break down more challenging postures and explore details and variations.
In the afternoons we’ll balance the morning flow with a calming yin and restorative yoga practice where there’s a chance to stay with each pose for longer and explore any physical or mental experience, bringing consciousness into a calm, meditative space.
Sessions will include pranayama, some yoga philosophy, guided meditation and a long, deep yoga nidra (yogic sleep) – a guided relaxation practice to bring about complete physical, mental and emotional ease.
The yoga studio overlooks the beautiful courtyard and countryside. While some mats are provided it’s a great idea to bring your own. Please also bring any props you might need like belts, blocks or bricks.
Accommodation
Potash Barns consists of a set of beautiful and lovingly converted Grade II listed farm buildings, offering 4 star Farm Stay rated twin accommodation.
The setting is intimate with space for only 13 people and the hosts are incredibly welcoming and friendly. There’s plenty of communal space to lounge around, relax, read & chat, plus 3 kitchens and bathrooms (shared by a maximum of 4 people each).
Two ensuite single rooms may be available at the neighbours.
There will be a light breakfast with bread, jam and fruit for those who want and yummy homecooked vegetarian brunch, afternoon tea & cake and dinner. Fruit & tea are available between meals. The retreat will be alcohol free so we can focus on our practice for the weekend.
