A weekend of yoga at the Old Stable, Bore Place:

Bore Place is a beautiful historic venue with an environmentally-friendly approach surrounded by beautiful, unspoiled countryside. As an eco-venue situated it attracts rare species of wildlife. Yoga

Each morning will start with some breathing and a short meditation before we move into an invigorating, creatively sequenced vinyasa flow practice taught with music and including modifications for all levels.

The afternoon sessions will be slow, nurturing and calming gentle flow and restorative sessions, closing with a longer meditation or guided relaxation.

Sessions will include reflections on philosophy, psychology or neuroscience to deepen understanding and inspire discussion.

The large yoga space is situated in an old barn with high ceilings and wooden beams. Please bring your own mat and props!

Accommodation

The Old Stable is right next to the yoga barn with a courtyard garden linking the two. Rooms are bright and comfortable, and have been recently refurbished. A small number of singles are available, and there are twin or triple rooms. Up to 4 people share a bathroom.

There’s plenty of communal space to lounge around, relax, read & chat including a cosy sitting room with wood-burning oven, a large dining table for meals, a fully fitted kitchen and a beautiful garden with benches and a firepit.

Food & drink

Meals will be plant-based and professionally prepared by a lovely local caterer.

There will be a fruit bowl for light breakfast for those who want, a yummy and substantial brunch, afternoon tea & snack, and dinner. Fruit & tea are available between meals. The retreat will be alcohol free.

Thank you so much for such an interesting, enjoyable, exhilarating yet peaceful weekend. I truly loved all of it! So much to take away from one weekend.

Dan

I really like your approach and find your calming energy radiating around the room just amazing. Your calming voice is very comforting, and yet you remain clear and composed, explaining each new move or next set of instructions so incredibly clearly.

Sylvie

I couldn't think of anything I would change about the retreat, it was truly a great weekend. Studio was perfect, nice floor, lighting, views. Food was delicious and plentiful.

Jenny

Asana, breathing, history and philosophy were brilliantly themed through the lessons. It was obvious that everything had been thoroughly prepared but it all still came across with a gentle passion and enthusiasm.

Robert

Interesting topics which really made practical sense in combination with the yoga sessions. The yoga studio was really wonderful - the views, the peacefulness and the sunsets were beautiful.

Sarah M.

I've already recommended it to many friends, and would definitely be up for a longer period next time. Sad to come home at the end of it.

Kaye

I enjoyed the great yoga, lovely people and relaxed and friendly nature of it all. I felt I could really disconnect. Loved everything. Thank you for your wonderful energy - it was a great weekend.

Sarah L.

I wanted to say what a wonderful time I had and how profoundly grateful I am to you for the lessons I have learnt through your teaching of yoga.

Gemma

The people i was sharing with were wonderful and made me feel welcomed. The studio has a great view. I loved overlooking the green with animals.

Location and getting there

Bore Place is easily accessible from London and surrounding areas. Depending on location it’s just over 1hr door to door from London – yet it feels like a different world. Bore Place sits in 500 acres of private land and includes a working farm. This is the perfect setting to switch off, relax and take some time to de-stress and reconnect with a sense of calm and peace.

The venue can be easily reached by train from London (Charing Cross, Waterloo East, London Bridge) in about 1/2 hour. A taxi from the station takes about 20mins. Taxis are usually available from the taxi rank at Sevenoak. We can aim to organise a shared taxi. Please let me know if you intend to drive and are happy to offer a lift.
