We conclude the 3 part series exploring our basic needs and will talk about connection. We need connection – we are social creatures, we have a deep desire to connect: from feeling seen, liked, supported to feeling worthy and loved. We take care of this need by being in touch with others (attaching to others).
Relationships with others form a substantial way of validating our views and opinions and forming our personality. Being there for others and truly listening and relating to them increases our own happiness and wellbeing. And even if our connections to others bring up problems – like in difficult relationships – this is one of the fundamental ways for us to grow.
We’ll explore shoulder opening and shoulder strengthening with natarajasana (dancing shiva) variations and some fiery forearm side planks with kapalabhati kriya in movement.
