When we train our attention to rest on that which is pleasant, positive, helpful – no matter how small – we are setting up new structures in the brain that help us retain and remember positive experiences – we are rewiring the brain for happiness. The brain then releases dopamine, which in turn makes it even easier to keep giving attention to the positive and sets up a positive feedback loop. Our practice can become as good a place as any to savour the positive.
We will move in a continuous cycle and flow to challenge and maybe find our balance, open the hips, hamstrings and shoulders and explore variations of vishvamitrasana.
Options and modifications for all levels are included.
