A continuous flow to open the whole body from the inside out

The theme for this class is the subtle internal system of the nadis with particular emphasis on Sushumna nadi, the central and most important energy channel, said to be running inside the spine.

After an initial warm up, we flow continuously from side to side with variations of side lunges (skandasana) – including an arm balance – and gradually deepen into backbends, culminating in an unsupported ‘wild thing’ (camatkarasana).

The breath provides the continuous thread on which we can string the postures, so that breath and movement become one and movement is spontaneous and playful.
