I use google analytics to gain insight into user behaviour to improve site design and the content I provide. For this reason I allow google analytics to collect data about visitors of my site. Mailing List

If you provide your email to me as part of my mailing list sign-up process, I will use MailChimp to store and process your email address (and possibly in the future your name). Cookies

I use cookies to improve your website experience (e.g. remembering of preferences) and to improve the website and content (e.g. I track visits to understand what content my visitors interested in). I am not using these cookies for purposes such as advertising.

In addition I may have 3rd parties that set cookies outside of my control. I accept this, as these 3rd parties allow me to provide you with features such as social media sharing and most playing videos from YouTube.

I share your data with 3rd parties only for operational reasons and I will never sell it or use to advertise to you.

Mailchimp to allow me to email you if you sign up for my mailing list
Google Analytics to allow me to improve your user experience
Social media services if you choose to share content via these services

How long I retain your data

Data related to my mailing list sign-up will be retained indefinitely (unless you opt out).
Data stored by 3rd parties is retained as per these parties’ policies, in some case indefinitely.

What rights you have over your data

You can request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How I protect your data

I believe that I am using reliable 3rd party providers for the services I connect with, including but not limited to Google, Soundcloud and Mailchimp and that these companies follow best industry practices and are assured that these companies comply with relevant regulations such as GDPR, etc.
Where I hold PII outside these systems I will do so on encrypted, access controlled systems.

Once I become aware of a data breach I will inform affected parties about the incident and the data concerned.
